Dr. Gerald James Larson is Professor Emeritus, Non secular Research, UC Santa Barbara, and Tagore Professor Emeritus of Indian Cultures and
Civilization, Indiana College, Bloomington.
Dr. Larson is the writer or editor of some twelve books and properly over 100 scholarly articles on cross-cultural philosophy of faith, historical past of
religions, classical Sanskrit and South Asian historical past and tradition. His current books embrace India’s Agony Over Faith (SUNY Press, 1995, and
Oxford College Press, Delhi, 1997), Altering Myths and Photos (Indiana College Artwork Museum, 2000), and Faith and Private Regulation in
Secular India: A Name to Judgment (Indiana College Press,2002, and Social Science Press, New Delhi, 2002).
His most up-to-date publication is Quantity XII of the Encyclopedia of Indian Philosophies, co-edited with the late Dr. Ram Shankar Bhattacharya,
entitled Yoga: India’s Philosophy of Meditation (Delhi: Motilal Banarsidass, 2008). Additionally, a group of essays has been revealed in his honour,
