A brief documentary exploring Henry Miller’s relationship to Hinduism, Ramakrishna and Vivekananda.
In 1939, whereas touring across the nation writing “The Air-Conditioned Nightmare”, Henry Miller was impressed by Hinduism and Romain Rolland’s e-book “The Lifetime of Ramakrishna”. However Miller’s glimpse of enlightenment via Hindu revealed to him a deep non secular emptiness in the US, particularly Chicago. This movie actually retraces Miller’s steps, and examines his mindset.
