Hindu View of Life: Talking For and Towards Oneself

58

Chakravarthi Ram-Prasad offered “Hindu View of Life: Talking For and Towards Oneself” on Monday, September 17, on the Heart for the Research of World Religions at HDS.

By reflecting on three key textual passages, Chakravarthi Ram-Prasad engaged with the intersectional nature of his Hindu id. This examination of Hinduism and intersectionality provided a brand new perspective on how id is creatively and consistently reconfigured by the textual classes and the lived actuality of spiritual traditions.

Chakravarthi Ram-Prasad, MA, DPhil (Oxon), is Fellow of the British Academy, and Distinguished Professor of Comparative Faith and Philosophy at Lancaster College. He’s the creator of some fifty papers and 6 books. His “Divine Self, Human Self: The Philosophy of Being in Two Gita Commentaries” received the Greatest Ebook Award 2011–2015 of the Society for Hindu-Christian Research. His “Human Being, Bodily Being: Phenomenology from Classical India” was just lately printed by Oxford College Press.
