Within the Upanishads lies the important thing to unlock the religious knowledge of historic Hinduism. The Brahman represents the essence of all cosmos, and the soul or atman tasks the person being. This educating is punctuated with the chorus tat tvam asi, or “You’re That.” On this equation, “you” means atman, and “That” means Brahman. Probably the most intimate connection between the person and the Divine has been identified.
