The ever-present yin-yang image holds its roots in Taoism/Daoism, a Chinese language faith and philosophy. The yin, the darkish swirl, is related to shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave; the yang, the sunshine swirl, represents brightness, ardour and development. John Bellaimey explains why all of us comprise the spirit of yin and of yang — and the way we are able to obtain a steadiness of each in our lives.
