Universe Cycle of creation, upkeep and annihilation. Mahayuga, Manvantara and Kalpa or the Cosmic Day of Brahma
Our Vedic scriptures speaks of the yugas and the mahayugas that final for tens of millions of years. 4 yugas: Satya, Treta, Dvapara and Kali. The mahayuga, also referred to as chaturyuga (4 yugas mixed), comprising all 4 yugas rotate in cyclical order.
The size of Satya(Four occasions of Kali), Treta(three occasions of Kali), Dvapara(2 occasions of Kali) and Kali yugas is in earth years.
The period of the yugas when it comes to earth years are:
Satya-yuga 17,28,000 years
Treta-yuga 12,96,000 years
Dvapara-yuga 8,64,000 years
Kali-yuga 4,32,000 years
