Why Does HInduism have so many gods – a query requested by many, and answered totally by few.
The core cosmic fact, as defined in all Hindu scriptures, is that EVERYTHING is Isha, or God.
So not solely does Hinduism have “many” Gods, it has ONLY Gods. We’re the one tradition that may proudly say that we’re all Gods.
In Abrahamic religions, there may be solely ONE God, who’s supreme and “Almighty.” In Hinduism, ALL are mighty.
The very function of all human life, and all life is to appreciate this Final fact – You’re God!
The Mahavakya”Tattvamasi” is the Guru revealing this fact to His disciple.
Every deity in Hinduism is an embodiment of sure cosmic rules and qualities – Ananta Kalyan Guna. So Hindus can select whichever deity they like, and the extra they relate with that deity, the better is their path to realizing the Final.
